What Your Monday Really Feels Like

You know the feeling. That sinking dread as the alarm goes off. The mental countdown of hours until you end your day. The thought you try to push away: "How do I get out of here?"

Maybe you're not even sure what you want instead. You just know you don't want to be here again next Monday. Or you were laid off and you're scrambling to figure out what's next.

You've put in 10-15 years. You've proven yourself. And yet: you're stuck. You've probably already:

  • Updated your resume
  • Scrolled LinkedIn at midnight, feeling worse about the market
  • Hit "Easy Apply" for a quick win
  • Told yourself you'll network (but the thought makes you want to hide)

Why you're stuck

Not because you lack ambition or you're not trying hard enough.

  • The market changed. Job searching this year looks nothing like job searching last year.
  • AI changed how jobs get found and filled, and nobody taught you how to navigate it.
  • You have real obligations. A mortgage, kids, aging parents, a 401k you watch too closely.
  • Job searching while employed is its own full-time job.
  • The advice conflicts. "Just wait it out" versus "be grateful you have one." None of it is built for your situation.

When's the last time someone asked you what YOU want? Not what you should want.

Not what's realistic. Not what keeps everyone else comfortable. You. In your role, you're always being asked: "Can you take on more? Can you do more?" When's the last time someone asked: "Can I take something off your plate?"

What Staying Stuck Costs You

Every day you stay stuck:

  • Your confidence erodes. Every Monday, you wake up with dread.
  • You're losing time. How long have you felt this way? Months? Years?
  • Your nervous system is shot, with constant anxiety about staying and about leaving.
  • You're missing opportunities while others are making moves.

And the security you're job hugging for is thinner than it looks. Layoffs reach people who did everything right.

Get Unstuck

What I Will and Won't Do

What I will do:

  • Get clear on what you want, versus what you should want
  • Generate possibilities you haven't considered
  • Ground your decisions in your Power Position, where your interests, skills, and market demand overlap
  • Build a plan that works with your life, not against it
  • Navigate today's job market, if that's the path you choose

What I won't do:

  • Tell you to "take the leap"
  • Gaslight you about why you haven't "made it happen yet"
  • Pretend the job market isn't a mess right now
  • Give you a cookie-cutter program
  • Write your resume or find you a job

What Sessions Actually Feel Like

We meet weekly or bi-weekly for 60 minutes. You choose the pace based on your budget and how fast you want to move. This is choose your own adventure coaching, built around your situation rather than a curriculum. I'm your thought partner. I name the blind spots, hold you accountable between sessions, and leave room for the emotional weight of it.

I'm direct. I believe you're the expert on your own life. My job is the outside perspective and reflective prompts.

What Clients Say

"Meris went above and beyond to meet with me throughout my job search... I was especially impressed after a conversation preparing for a job interview, when I received a follow-up email with a list of film and podcast recommendations related to the employer's mission, which she had curated from her own personal learning. Her coaching is affirming and generative. I highly recommend working with No Stone Unturned, as Meris upholds the name!"

— Hannah B.

"I started out feeling very lost and alone in a job and management situation where I knew I was meant for more, but I didn't know where to even start. Meris asks great questions. After talking to experts, I realized some paths I wanted to go down, like impact investing, just weren't worth it. She definitely helped me get unstuck, and now I have a plan."

Is This You?

This is for you if:

  • You're a mid-career woman with 10+ years of experience
  • You know something needs to change, but not what or how to get there on your own
  • You have real obligations (mortgage, kids, aging parents, retirement savings) that impact your next career move
  • You're done with generic advice that doesn't fit your situation
  • You're curious about possibilities beyond "find a new job," including working for yourself
  • You want a thought partner, not someone to tell you what to do

This probably isn't for you if:

  • You want me to write your resume or find you a job
  • You need someone to tell you exactly what to do
  • You're not willing to examine your own patterns and beliefs
  • You're not ready to take accountability for moving forward

You're not here to hope you get picked. You're here to choose yourself, and build a career that supports the life you want.

Together, we leave no stone unturned.
